Saturday JAYS sailing club
Onboard Junior Club (JAYS)
We have reviewed the Saturday jays and found that more needed to be done to encourage and develop our young sailors who are the future of our club.
Following discussion with parents last year, and to ensure we can keep the same staff every week, we are moving the junior training to a Wednesday evening and rebranding as our onboard club.
The club is open to anyone from 8-16 years old. We will continue to split into groups based on ability levels, so our instructors can work through the appropriate RYA schemes.
We will also be now welcoming complete beginners on our induction night 22nd May.
All juniors will still need to be members of the sailing club and you should now have received your renewal pack for you to complete.
Please bring Logbooks with you on the first night so we can split into ability groups
Dates: Every Wednesday from 10th April to 11th September 18:00-20:30
Session Fees: £10 per week or 24 weeks for £180
If you wish to pay in 2 instalments, please contact the office on 01604 880248
Booking is first come first serve, although an extra instructor could be organised with enough interest. To book please call the office or email to [email protected]
A guardian must stay onsite while juniors are on the water and are expected to help launch and recover boats so BRING YOUR WELLIES!! Good news is that we have now installed a new kitchen area with tea's and coffees in the classroom.
