Northampton Sailing Club's Dylan Fletcher wins gold in Tokyo!Dylan Fletcher started sailing aged 11 in 1999 at Northampton Sailing Club. At the age of 13, whilst he was being coached by Chris Wright he got hooked into racing. At that time he was racing a boat called a 405, winning various events and national titles with crew Nick Hollis. When aged 15, he moved on to the 29er youth class where he represented NSC at events up to the age of 17. Dylan was then selected for the RYA National Youth Squad and moved up the ranks to finally finish second overall at the 29er World Championships in 2006, after which time he moved on to the Olympic 49er class.
This summer at the Tokyo Olympics with Stuart Bithell, the duo made Olympic history, winning Team GB's first ever men's 49er sailing medal gold.
