Introducing you to sailing - all you need to know to get afloat under supervision. You will sail with an Instructor onboard and learn how to sail in all directions, course content includes an awareness of rigging, launching and recovering a dinghy safely. After the course, you will be able to sail in light winds under supervision.

RYA Level 2
Building on your Level 1 skills, this course sets out the foundations of sailing for you - rigging, launching, sailing in all directions, capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge. You will have an Instructor onboard the majority of the time however, after the course, you will have the skills and confidence to sail proficiently and make your own decisions in light to medium winds. You must have sailing skills to Level 1 standard prior to taking this course.

RYA Levels 1 & 2
Sailing a double handed boat, as both crew and helm you will learn new skills and techniques and solve a variety of problems afloat. Including rigging, launching and recovery, sailing techniques and manoeuvres in crewed boats and recovering a man overboard. By the end of the course you will be able to launch and return to a beach, jetty or mooring and sail a crewed dinghy around a triangle course in moderate conditions. This course is good preparation for those who wish to progress to the advanced sailing courses. You should have the knowledge and skills of a Stage 3 sailor before taking this course.

RYA Stage 1 & 2
No experience necessary - you will go from beginner to sailor in no time! Introducing sailing skills and background knowledge to help you become a confident sailor. The course will include launching and recovery, steering, parts of the boat, basic sailing skills, rope work and collision avoidance. By the end of the course you will be able to steer, turn the boat around (tack), control the boat speed and understand basic principles. There is a high chance that you will get wet at some point which is all part of the experience. Expect to have some fun too - we have some great games and fun races up our sleeves!

RYA Stage 3
This course will help you to become a good sailor, including rigging, launching and recovery and sailing in every direction as well as sailing techniques, capsize recovery and sailing theory. By the end of the course you will be able to launch and sail a dinghy around a triangle course efficiently in moderate conditions. You should have the knowledge and skills of a Stage 2 sailor and preferably some additional practice before taking this course.
